Aunt Gloria was such a special person to me. We were little kids in the 1940s and she would always bring us a little gift when the came to visit us in the country at Christmas. She was so thoughtful and it really was something special for me. Raymond Lalonde – nephew

It was thru Gloria’s daughter Kathy that I met my wife. Gloria was like a mother to me while I was living in Waveland, MS. I am a yankee and she taught me how to eat cajun. One day she was cooking and I asked her what it was. She said it is red beans. I asked her if they fed it to the dogs. She said no. She said that we put it on rice. I looked at her and said “Rice?” She said that I was going to try everything she cooked once. If I didn’t like it, the fridge was mine. I never went to the fridge for something different. Thank you Gloria for opening my eyes. You have been in my thoughts all these years and will continue to be in my heart.
