I have known Gene since his days at Huxtable through his work on equipment at the Journal-World. His presence in the buildings was always welcomed, because we knew he would fix our problems in short order. Of course equipment usually breaks on deadline, or in the heat of summer or the freezing cold of winter. Gene was always good natured, which made him all the more welcome. We have missed him and will miss him. I am sure however, that Saint Peter is smiling at the Heavenly Gates, because if there’s anything broken in Heaven, a good-natured guy who will fix it just arrived.
Peace and grace to all Gene’s family and friends.
