He will be terribly missed by my daughter, Lynnette, and I. Traveling together was so much fun. Shirley is so great at planning fantastic trips.

Howard was one of those bigger than life people to me. I still remember the stories of him driving around the hills surrounding Lawrence in his little Porsche…chocolate bars tucked in the glove compartment. He was an incredibly intelligent man who would still come home and brush a dog at the end of the day. I’ve been very privileged to have known Howard and send my sympathy to his family. I know he will be terribly missed.

I remember Howard best from our childhood days. Younger brothers are often tolerated rather than loved, but Howard was the exception. He served as my mentor and put up with a lot from me. I’ll miss him.

I did not have the privilege to know Dr. Joseph, but I know well and love his daughter, Marie, who is a dear friend. I’m certain such a special lady had a very special father. My prayers for peace are sent to all of you, most especially you, “Founder” 🙂

To an uncle I thought the world of – so super intelligent with a great sense of humor. Howard was a very kind, loving, soft spoken man who could get his point across. It was a joy and a pleasure to have had Howard for an uncle when I was growing up…I always told him that he was one of my favorite uncles. Until we see each other again one day..it will be a happy reunion.

Dear Shirley, Margie, Marie and Marc,

I was so sorry to hear about Howard’s death. My strongest impressions of him were the way he paid complete attention whenever I talked to him, and never patronized me. Also, I liked the fact that he laughed so easily.

    Love,
    L:ynn (Williams)
