Donna Gielow

Graveside inurnment will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 for Donna Jane Gielow, 69, Lawrence at Memorial Park Cemetery.  She died October 28, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.  

Donna was born on September 6, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Robert Carl and Theresa May (Webster) Gielow. 

She loved animals and flower gardens.  Donna enjoyed life.  

Survivors include her sister, Gale Cohen and husband, Alex, Northbrook, Illinois; two nephews, David Venetucci and wife, Mary Pat, Michael Venetucci; step-mother, Carol Gielow and friend, Kathy Ott.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

    Another of God’s angels has gone Home. Donna was a beautiful person both inside and out, and it was my honor and privilege to have called her my friend. May she rest in the arms of Jesus for all eterniy.

    I will miss Donna. We talked on the phone often. It is fnny how attached to someone you never met. We shared private matter’s as well as just laughed at each other. I will really miss those times. Kathy
