No services will be held for Donald C. Fritz, 77, Lawrence. He was cremated. He died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Colmery-O’Neil Veterans Medical Center in Topeka.
Don was born December 30, 1933 in Topeka, the son of Marshall V. and Goldia M. Mauck Fritz.
Don attended Topeka schools. He served his country as a Navy Seaman, 1951 – 1954 during the Korean Conflict. He formerly worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 15 years. He worked for 25 years for the University of Kansas Facilities Operations Paint Shop and retired in 1995.
He was a member of Siloam Chapter 225 Masons of Topeka, KS.
He married Linda Burggraf-Speicher on September 22, 2001. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Jennie and husband, Ron Hutchinson; Bobbi Jo Fritz; Ann Speicher; one son, Ronald Fritz; two grandsons, Joe Lincoln and Alex Sharon; one great-granddaughter, Lilly Lincoln; mother-in-law, Elnora Burggraf; three brother-in-laws, Lonnie and wife, Kay Burggraf; John and wife, Vickie Burggraf and Don and wife, Sheryl Burggraf. His parents preceded him in death.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
