The years fly by without thinking about this person or that person. But when I do think about someone who had a special influence in my life, I smile. Mr. Don Martin was an incredible man with an incredible family. Thank you for the smiles and fond memories of long ago. Respectfully, Debbie Spangler Johnson (Peabody-Burns Class of 1973)

I knew Don as a great administrator, very fair. I knew him better as a mentor and a friend. He did not judge, was always fair, and always was on top of his game. I will miss him.

I knew Don as a fellow administrator, friend and poker player. Always fun to be around and though haven’t been in touch recently always remember the good times.

I am sorry to hear that Don has passed away. I and many others enjoyed Don’s company at coffee. He loved his family most of all. I especially enjoyed coffee when members of his family also came with him. Don and his family always respected everyone he met and if I could describe him and his family with one word it would be “class”.
