Daniel Young

A Celebration of Life for Daniel Lee Young, 54, Eudora, KS, will be held at 2:00 p.m. September 29, 2012 at “Big Dan’s Man Cave”.   He died on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at his home in the company of his faithful companion, Sidney Young.
Daniel was born on December 12, 1957 in Kansas City, KS the son of Dwyane Lee and Carol Ann (Lindelof) Young.
He was a Captain at the Lansing Penitentiary, in Lansing, KS.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include two sisters, Faith Wilson, Shawnee, KS, Vivian Harrison, Olathe, KS; one brother, Dale Young, Shawnee; one aunt, Linda Ulreich, and husband, Jim, Kansas City, KS; and nieces and nephews, Beth, Hank, Vanessa Harrison, Maggie Young, Derick Young, Christopher Von Ah, Holly Von Ah and Hunter Wilson.  He was preceded in death by both his parents.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to the Lawrence Humane Society.

    Captain Young was such a larger than life character. I learned a lot when working for him and he always made it fun. God Speed Captain Dan.
