Carl Arentson

 

A private inurnment service for Carl Nels Arentson, 45, Eskridge, KS will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, KS.  Mr. Arentson died October 2, 2009 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka.

He was born on July 16, 1964 in Lawrence, KS the son of Carsten and Judith Lampinen Arentson. 

Mr. Arentson was a 1983 graduate of Lawrence High School and formerly lived in Lawrence before moving to Eskridge. He was disabled. Carl was an avid sports fan, expecially KU basketball and football.

Survivors include three sisters: Ingrid M. Pearson (husband, Thomas H.) , Oak Park, IL, Christine A. Arentson, Lawrence, and Karen Arentson ( partner, Keith Cromack), Chesterfield, Missouri.

The family will greet friends at a memorial gathering from 5 to 7 p.m. on October 6, 2009 at The Eldridge Hotel (All American Room).

The family suggests memorial contributions in his name to the Kansas Chapter of National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), the Bert Nash Mental Health Center or to the Thrive Counseling Center in Oak Park, IL and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Mr. Arentson donated his organs for transplant through the Midwest Transplant Network. The gifts of his heart, kidneys, and liver are already in the process of saving lives.
