Uncle Dude and Aunt Dorothy were such a pleasure to be around, I delighted in visits to their beautiful home in Lawrence. My sincere condolences to the family during this difficult time, may your special memories help you in the days ahead to cope with the loss. At John 5:28, 29 God promises that there will be a “resurrection” back to life in the future. May this promise bring you the hope of seeing your loved one again.

Uncle Dude was such a nice guy,I’m so glad he lived such a long and fulfilled life without pain. He and Aunt Dorothy were extra special to me as my brother and I went to stay with them quite often. I loved them both with all my heart. Glad he has now joined Aunt Dorothy in heaven. I’m sure there is great rejoicing there!

Uncle Dude was my favorite uncle. As a child he would let me sit in his lap allowing me to steer the car while driving. He taught me how to hunt and the proper use of guns. What a better place the world would be if we had more people like him.

The grandchildren of Alva Davidson would like to thank everyone for their well wishes. It’s heart warming to know that Grandpa (Papa Dude) was so well loved.
We would also like to send our sincere appreciation to everyone at Warren-McElwain, especially Audrey, for everything they did to make Grandpa’s service so perfect for him. He would have been so happy and proud of the military funeral service Audrey was able to help provide.
We will miss Grandpa, but we know he is in a better place now, with his wife and children.
