    To Aimee’s Family:
Our deepest condolences. I cried when the prinicipal sent our his message. Aimee helped my daughter and walked her through entrance into FreeState and this year, she helped her to get a full scholarship to KU. She helped with accomodations, and gave direction for my daughter’s future. I have such gratitude for her, and her work. She would always take time, even while talking to us, to share her love for her family.

You loved to help people, which is a gift always to be cherished.

I’m very sorry to hear about the loss of Aimee. We were childhood friends in the mid 70’s…but as most childhood friends do, we parted ways when we moved out of the neighborhood. Reading all of Aimee’s accomplishments here lets me know she took advantage of her gift of life and helped as many people as she can. She spread the seeds of love. May the entire family find peace and be comforted during this very trying time.

We met Amy and Aaron through Owen and our daughter Addison. At three, Addison was sure she was going to marry Owen some day. Amy and I joked that we would tell any boyfriend/girlfriends we didn’t like when they got older that the two of them were in an arranged marriage. I will miss Aimee’s spirit and enthusiasm and the accidental meetings where we always caught up with each other’s lives. My heart and prayers go out to Aaron and Owen an Max and Elliot. I do hope that someday you’ll look down from Heaven and see Owen and Addison walking down the aisle! From Wicked, “Who can say if I’ve been changed for the better. Because I knew you, Aimee, I have been changed for good.” Thank you for your presence in our lives.

With the news of Aimee’s death came a barrage of memories. Every memory included laughter and her voice which was so unique. I missed her presence with my change in location and would think of her when I sang the Happy birthday song, look at my stained glass location, my earring making supplies, and the plastic skeletons. She always made me feel that laughing at ourselves was the greatest thing on earth. I loved her laught and her sparkling eyes. If I miss her this much, I can not imagine the depth of loss you, the family , feel. I am so very sorry for your loss. And I am sorry for the loss the world is enduring with her death. I have faith that your faith will help you through this. Keep a “frog” to remind you to Forever Rely On God. My love to you all.

Coach Ziegler was one of those people you meet and walk away thinking to yourself, “She’s one of the good ones”. Thank you for the memories, the support, the compassion and the laughs throughout those difficult high school years that everyone struggles with. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

My deepest sympathy to the Zeigler and Polson families. I was fortunate to have met Aimee and know what an amazing mother and person she was from all I have heard about her from her loving family.

Please know that our prayers are with the Ziegler and Polson families. Words are not enough to express our sympathy, just as words are not enough to express your grief. We pray that God’s loving arms hold you close to Him.

Mrs. Ziegler helped me so much in my 3 years at Free State High School. I still remember sitting in her office in September as she helped me fill out all of my college applications with just as much excitement as I had filling them out myself. I would always see her in the hall and she would always say hi to me, by name. She has and will continue to be missed around Free State. May she rest in peace.

Aaron, I was saddened to hear of your loss and no words can express the depth of sorrow I have and know you must feel. Know from the depth of my heart, that you and your family are loved- that you are and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Still thinking of you Ziegler! You are oh so loved. I’m keeping your boys and husband in my prayers. The 11th of every month is marked on my calendar as a reminder of your life. You lived well! Your delayed, huge laugh will always be remembered and cherished. It will never escape my memory of you. Thank you for being the best of friends, truly. I’m sorry I didn’t know about your struggles. I couldn’t have solved your problems but I could have prayed for you. There’s something about prayer that actually takes the weight off one’s shoulders. I thank God that you are in my life. What fun we had together for a time. May God bless you FOREVER!
