Mass of Christian Burial for Carl E. Trybom, 97, Lawrence will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Carl passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Medicalodges Eudora.
Carl was born June 26, 1918 in Haddam, KS, the son of Emil Nathaniel and Anna (McCullum) Trybom.
He was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He was a former 4-H Leader and Superintendent at the Douglas County Fair.
He was a plant operator at Farmland Industries and a farmer until he retired in 1983.
He married Leonilla “Lee” C. Uhlrich August 11, 1945 in Clifton, KS. She preceded him in death July 31, 2007.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Trybom, Lawrence, Kathy Bryant, Linwood, KS; one son, James “Jim” Trybom, Monticello, IL; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; one brother, Emil Trybom, Lawrence; and four sisters, Gladys Simoneau, Plainview, TX, Betty Beydler, Spokane, WA, Esther Lahodny, Concordia, KS, and June Myers, Smith Center, KS. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Marvin, Edward, Martha, and Marie.
A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015 with a visitation to follow until 8 p.m. at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
