Memorial Mass for Patsy S. “Pat” Rinke, 74, Lawrence will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Pat was born December 13, 1939 in Melbourne, AR the daughter of George Berry and Wanda Reeves.
She was raised by her grandparents, Molly and Alec Fitzhugh and grew up in Calico Rock, Arkansas.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
She was a homemaker. She worked at TG&Y and Kmart only while her children were at school. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She married Richard “Dick” Rinke on June 20, 1959 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora, KS. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Kim Arndt and husband, Mark, Kristi Jorgensen and husband, Dane, both of Lawrence; one son, Mike Rinke and wife, Melanie, Bonner Springs, KS; six grandchildren, David Arndt (Liz), Eric, Ryan, (Brittney) and Kaitlin Jorgensen, and Emily and Scott Rinke. She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Michael on June 5, 1962.
A visitation will be held at the church at 9 a.m. one hour prior to the service on Saturday, April 12th.
The family suggests memorials in her name to Corpus Christi Catholic Church Building Fund and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

“Aunt Pat” was one of those people that always made you feel better about yourself whenever you saw her! She will be missed, but live on in our memories. So sorry we can’t be there at this sad time but all of her family and friends are in our hearts and prayers.

Our deepest Sympathy to all of you and your families. I remember some good times with Aunt Pat, her love of going garage saling, her coming over to the house and I would perm her hair and we would have some deep conversations. Will always hold a special place for her in our hearts.
