Private services for Ruth E. Neibarger Daniels, 86, Lawrence will be held. She died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Hillside Village Retirement Community, De Soto, KS.
Ruth was born October 22, 1926 in Jacksonville, TX the daughter of Clyde H. and Martha Virginia (Hawthorne) Williams.
She was the co-owner and publisher for the Tonganoxie Mirror from 1980 – 2000. She later worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church. She was also a member of PEO Chapter IK.
She married J.M. Neibarger in 1945. They later divorced. She then married Levi William Daniels on January 23, 1981 in Lawrence. He preceded her in death February 13, 2007.
Survivors include one daughter, Lynne Neibarger Brewer, Prairie Village, KS; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, K. Dane Neibarger, and Kurt W. Neibarger.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in her name to the Hillside Village Retirement Community and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
Rest in peace, Ruth. Good memories, but never wanted her to know what I was up to.She got a handful with Lynne, wouldn’t you say.
