I met Makenna in Oklahoma at the Paseo Arts Festival. What a wonderful and talented woman. I will cherish my beautiful jewelry she made and think of her every time I wear it. She touched my life too. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
To the entire family of Makenna, please accept my condolences. I first met Makenna at the Paseo art festival in Oklahoma City. She was there with her mother and I was immediately drawn to her and her unique style of jewelry. She was so very sweet and genuine in her love of the metal arts. I feel blessed to have met her. Sincerely, Leslie Lightfoot Wagner
Just hearing all these years later about Makenna. I’ve taught thousands of students in my career and I had her many years ago and I still remember her. I still find myself describing the sculpture she built from parts she found a u-wrench-it to my students. She was beautiful and amazing and she made a big impact on me.
Knowing her was my privilege and blessing.
