Lorene Brennan Triplett

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorene Brennan Triplett, 91, Lawrence will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence.  Private burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.  She died November 2, 2011 at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community in Lawrence.

Lorene was born on October 5, 1920 in Ironton, OH the daughter of Florence Rist Brennan and Loran C. Brennan.  She spent hear early life in Ironton graduating from St. Joseph High School and Lanham Business College.  

She married Tom Triplett on May 20, 1943 in Syracuse, NY.  He preceded her in death July 26, 1989.  They moved to Lawrence in 1956 and she was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Group 3 of the Altar Society, the Elks and American Legion.  She was a housewife and worked with Tom in the operation of The Triplett Locker plant.

Survivors include three daughters, Jane and husband Jerry May, Lawrence, Joan Stupperich, Alton, IL, Judy and husband Mike Englebrake, Baldwin City; six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas Jeffrey Triplett on August 4, 2010.

The family will greet friends following the service on Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Grace Hospice or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Building Fund and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
