  5. John Minnick on January 27, 2010 at 12:00 am

Chuck, Cheryl, Faye, Kay and family, On behalf of the entire Minnick family I want to offer you our sympathy and prayers in the passing of a truly lovely lady. My parents, C.V. Minnick and Mary Jean Minnick were good friends of the Lamers and they played golf together regularly. As a youngster growing up with Chuck Lamer in Junction City, KS I spent a lot of time at the Lamer’s apartment at the Lamer Hotel and Lucille and Bus were wonderful hosts and parents. Lucille always was kind and generous and made many snacks for us during those days. As others have commented, she always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She was a “treasure” and will be truly missed. John Minnick

Kay . . . our prayers go out to you and your family. It’s so hard to lose a mother, no matter her age. My mother was 96 and my brother remarked, “It’s so sudden.” I remember you from high school and remember meeting your mother who was a gracious hostess in her home. God bless you all.

Dear Kay and Family, I was just informed about your Mom and wanted to let you know that I am thinking and praying for you and your family. Your Mom was just the best. Always made me feel at ease when I came to the HOTEL to pick you up, on occasion. Your parents were just great people and leaders in Junction City. I think your Mom and Barbara Weir are probably talking over what great lives they had together up in heaven. We missed you at the 45th reunion and really, really, want to see you at the 50th. Please keep in touch and if you are near State College, PA please come and stay. As always your classmate and friend, BOB
