Our condolences to your family on the loss of your mother/grandmother. I remember her having a bridal shower at her house for me in 1967. She and your dad/grandfather belonged to a card club with my dad for many years in the Quad Cities. She was always a very bright and cheerful woman! Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time.
Ray is a grandson of Marie Seaholm FAIR. Ray remembers LaVaughn and John Fair very well. We live in WI. and just saw that John lives here, too.
Denny Brodd sent the note out to all the relatives.
Our sympathy to you all.
we will be living in Tacoma soon where our son and family live.
My beautiful aunt was always a lady with impeccable charm. I grew up in awe of her lady like charm, her wisdom and talent as a cook.
I always loved coming to her home for family dinners and sharing time with her in her kitchen. She taught me how to prepare meals so that everything was hot at one time.
When I was very young I remember her coming home from work dressed in suits and high heals. As I entered the business world myself, I tried to emulate her stile.
There is a saying: “where there is a will there is a way.” In there home in Moline Aunt LaVaughn has a small kitchen. Back then, she had the dream of installing a dishwasher. Uncle Vernon gave in saying: “LaVaughn if you can find a dishwasher small enough to fit into this cabinet area I will put it in.”
It was no surprise that my aunt and her will found that dishwasher and my uncle had to work to install it. Mind you she succeeded in finding the dishwasher before the internet and computers.
Tom and Jim, I am so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing.I wish I could be there with you. 18th Ave Ct. just isn’t the same without your parents. When I go home to visit mom and dad I still look in the kitchen window in hopes of seeing “Mr.& Mrs. Mo”.
Our thoughs and prayers go out to both of you and your families.
Tom and Jim, Our hearts go out to you and your families at the loss of your mom. We have many wonderful memories and cherish the opportunity we had to know such a warm and charming person.
