Donna Laughlin

Memorial service for Donna Pauline Laughlin, 88, Lawrence will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2009 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.  Inurnment will follow at Hesper Cemetery.  Mrs. Laughlin died on Tuesday July 7, 2009 at Presbyterian Manor. 

She was born one of four children on June 26, 1921 in Pratt, Kansas the daughter of George W. and Letha Daughenbaugh King. 

Mrs. Laughlin worked as a housekeeper for Hoisington middle school and Barton County Community College.  She also worked at Essex. 

She was a member of First Christian Church in Lawrence and Hoisington, Kansas.  She was active in the Eastern Star, White Shrine, Beauceant, American Legion and VFW Auxiliary.  She was a Grand Royal Matron for the Kansas Chapter of Amaranth.

Survivors include one daughter, Diana Klopfenstein, and husband, Mike, Lawrence; one grandson, Scott and one great granddaughter, Naomi. 

The family suggests memorial contributions to Heart of American Hospice sent in care of the Mortuary.
