Virginia “Ginny” Proctor

Memorial Services for Virginia A. “Ginny” Proctor, 62, Lawrence, KS will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Christ Community Church in Lawrence.  Private inurnment will occur at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.  She died on Sunday, May 3rd at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born on December 28, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of John and Virginia Allen Keller.

Ms. Proctor was formerly a cosmetologist and owned the Hair Affair Salon.  Prior to her illness, she was a representative for Redken Products.  

She was a member of the Christ Community Church and a MS Support Group.

Survivors include two daughters, Monica Markway, Baldwin City, KS, Jessica Beeson, Lawrence; her companion, Richard Steward, of the home; former husband, Bob Proctor, Lawrence; one brother, John Keller, Florida; four grandchildren; Elias Beeson, Jillian Markway, Jacklyn Markway, and Hazel Beeson.

The family suggests memorials in her name to Independence, Inc. and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family will greet friends at the church following the service.
