Floyd William Grant, Sr., 88, Lawrence died on April 27, 2009 at Pioneer Ridge. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
He was born on October 31, 1920 in Douglas County, KS the son of Jesse Mack and Rebecca Church Grant.
He was a Dairy Farmer. He worked as a Truck Driver for Penney’s Concrete and Lawrence Ready Mix retiring in 1982 after 24 years.
He married Pearl I. Athey on October 1, 1938 in Olathe, KS. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Floyd William, Jr, and wife, Karren, Overbrook, Gary Wayne, and wife, Dorothy, Lawrence; one granddaughter, Heather. He was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Heart of America Hospice and sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
