Robert Miller Sr.

Mass of Christian burial for Robert Eugene Miller, Sr., 83, of Eudora, Kansas will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora.  Burial will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.

He died Friday, January 30, 2009 at Medicalodges Eudora.

 

He was born October 31, 1925 in Eudora the son of Howard Edwin and Josephine Barbara (Seiwald) Miller.

 

He was a life long Eudora area resident.  He was a farmer and builder and retired in 1990.

 

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora.

 

He was married to Katherine Elizabeth Loftus on May 17, 1947.  She preceded him in death on March 19, 1999.

 

He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Pearce and husband Phillip of Ottawa, Kansas; three sons, Patrick Miller of Lawrence, James Miller of Ottawa, Kansas and Allen Miller and his wife Ladina; two sisters, Genevieve Hunsinger of Lawrence, Kansas and Virginia Lenahan of Kingwood, Texas; ten grandchildren, Dennis & Thomas Pearce, Patricia Davis,  Troy, Kori, Rick, Jessica Kevin, Amanda and Jerred Miller; five great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one son Robert Miller, Jr. in 2004 and his brother Glen Miller.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday and the Rosary will be said at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Odyssey Hospice or to Medicalodges Eudora and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
