It is with a heavy heart that we say how very sorry we are for Bill’s passing. He was a one-in-a-million gentleman….the sweetest, kindest, most generous, and thoughtful man to so many. He was an encourager who always had a smile to give. He was always willing to lend a helping hand at any event he could at Family of Faith. He made an impact on many–young and old alike. He will be GREATLY missed.
Save a place for us, Bill. We’ll see you soon…but not soon enough!

To Bill’s dear family, I just want to say I am so very sorry for your loss! Even though I have not known Bill for a long time, I feel the loss of losing a dear friend, and I’m so sorry I won’t have the chance to know this wonderful man even better! Heather, Tom and all the rest of the family, please know that I am praying for you, that God will bring you comfort and peace as only He can!

I worked with Bill at KCPL for many years. He was one of the kindest, most gentle and loving persons I have ever known. It is an understatement to say that he will be greatly missed.

Bill and I were best friends during high school in Columbia, Mo. His mother Alice was like my second mom as it seemed I was always at there house. Music, cars and motorcycles were the bonds that brought our friendship together. It was a tough time when his wife passed and we shared some tears together over a few phone calls.I last saw Bill at our 45th high school reunion a few years back. I’ll say a prayer for his family. May God bless them all.

Bill and I were also friends during high school in Columbia, MO. In April of this year we took a trip to Sedona, AZ to visit a mutual friend, JT Barnes, who had a stroke last year. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and all the more important in my memory now that he is gone. He spoke lovingly of his family and was happy to be able to be near to his grandchildren.

My prayers go out for all of Bill’s family. Bill expressed his love for all of you and especially for his grandsons. The last Sunday we visited at church he was telling me about getting a pool table as he liked to play and he wanted to teach his grandsons to play.
I will miss visiting with him on Sundays. He was a great man. I enjoyed my friendship with him.
The world needs more men like Bill!
Again I am so sorry for you loss.

I will truly miss that sweet, gentle smile each Sunday at church!!!
I remember Bill in the Christmas program a couple of years ago (one of the wise men)… It was truly amazing to watch. I was in a group with him for a short while and realized what a gentle and sweet man he was. My heart breaks for his family, and I pray that you will get through this with as little pain as possible and find comfort in knowing he is with the Lord.
Again, he will be missed at FOF church!!!!

Bill’s service today was such a beautiful tribute to such an amazing man! Last year my son and I stopped by to see Bill. He invited us in and shared so much of his loves with us! He shared his love for Christ, his love for his beautiful wife and his phenomenal family, and he shared his adorable dog with us. He was a man that will always hold such a special place in my heart! His warm smile, his loving heart, and his big hugs will be missed. Praying for peace and comfort for Bill’s Family.

We are so very sorry for the loss of such a sweet man. We only got to be a part of Bill’s life for two short years, but he made such a lasting impact on our lives! We enjoyed every moment we got to spend with Bill, whether it was working along side him at the car care ministry at church, VBS, the Christmas program, or just getting to sit and chat with him at the men’s breakfasts. He was such a hard worker and so generous with his time and talents! He was an amazing example to us of how to always show God’s love! We will miss his wonderful smile, his kind eyes, and sweet hugs! The legacy he left is indescribable! It was such an honor to meet each one of Bill’s sweet family members this past week. He loved each one of you dearly! We will continue to pray for peace and comfort for you all.

My deepest sympathies to Bill’s family! We were High School classmates (Kewpies ’63) and met in Sedona, AZ, just this April for a mini-55th-reunion with JT Barnes, his wife, Shirley and Jim Woodruff. Bill was a delight and glowed when talking about his family. I am so glad to have had that weekend!
