Virginia Louise Thrift

Graveside services for Virginia Louise Thrift, 70, Lawrence will be held at 11:00 a.m. December 20, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery. She passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 at her home.

Virginia was born May 29, 1947 in Kansas City, KS the daughter of Louis and Virginia (Martin) Campbell.

She was a housekeeping supervisor at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her son, Samuel Thrift, California; two grandchildren, Haley Scott-Powers, Alaska and Summer Powers, Lawrence; sister, Betty Pringle, Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Louis Campbell, Jr.

Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family will greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
