Diane. Was sorry to hear of Vera’s passing. I only met her once when Wendy lived there and we had coffee with her & Wayne in their kitchen. Such a sweet lady. Know she is now at peace. Thinking of you and the family at this sad time.

Uncle Wayne, Diane and Debbie: I am so sad about Aunt Vera’s passing but know she now is at peace. I will always remember her as funny, irreverent, witty, and exceedingly generous and kind. I loved her very much and find peace in the fact that she is with Aunt Dora and Grammie again, hopefully, keeping Papa in line. I look forward to seeing you all on December 30, and sharing stories of Aunt Vera.

I have a lot of great memories of Aunt “V” and the fun side of the family. When she sees Mom and Dad I know they will have a lot to cuss and discuss, (and maybe a beer or two). Everyone take care, we will be thinking of you.

    Wayne,
Vera was such a bright beacon of hope at city hall when I was there. I felt together we could face the “guys” and get recognition for the work we both did! I still remember Vera’s smile the first time I asked about her “summer” haircut!! She loved the freedom of it. I am so thankful to have known Vera and to be able to count her as one of my first friends at city hall. Even though we’ve drifted apart over the years since she retired, it takes but a moment to recall fond memories of all the “lucky” Tuesday nights we spent at city commission meetings together. Please know that we are thinking of you and your family at this painful time.
