Linda Rae Brown

Funeral service for Linda R. Brown, 75, Perry will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. She passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at her home.

Linda was born December 11, 1940 in Edmond, KS the daughter of William Ernest and Margarite (Craig) Sager.

She was a care provider for the State of Kansas.

She married Neil Brown in 2003. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Lisa (Butch) Owen, Hill City, KS, Trinity Ridpath, Lawrence, Jaimie Korbe, Perry, KS; three sons, Tim Tizya, Lansing, KS, LeRoy (Tera) StandingCloud, Osawatomie, KS, Joseph Ridpath, Oberlin, KS; 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Hide, Hill City, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dale VanDruff, March 9, 2014; three sisters, Betty Custine, Wilma Diebert, Margaret Mattlock; and brother, Bill Sager.

The family will greet friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the mortuary.

Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

    You were a joy to work with, kept an upbeat attitude and loved all you served! Your family ment the world to you because you enjoyed sharing their going on’s. I remember your trip you got to enjoy taking to Hawaii and I enjoyed hearing all about it when you returned. I hold many memories of you! RIP knowing you are above enjoying Eternal Bliss!     You were my second mom. You were always kind and honest and a great parent. You raised your children right and I admired the person/mother you truly were. You were a blessing to me and all people who knew you. I was so lucky to know you and your daughters growing up. They have definitely taken after you..the kind souls they got from you shine. .heaven definitely gained an angel
