Grace Alberta Oshel

Funeral services for Grace Oshel, 91, Lawrence, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2018 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. The family will greet friends and guests from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. She passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at Tonganoxie Nursing Home.

Grace was born September 15, 1926 in Vinland, Kansas to Harvey Miskimen and Amy Ruth Haling.

She has lived in Lawrence since 1959 after moving from DeSoto.

She married Richard H. Oshel on October 23, 1947 in Olathe, Kansas. He preceded her in death November 4, 2010.

Grace was a beloved mother, grandmother, granny, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Survivors include two daughters; Linda (Jim) Miller, Shawnee, KS, and Susan (Gary) Reusch, Lawrence, KS; one son, Ricky Oshel, Lawrence, KS; five grandchildren, Lisa (Jon) Borger, Brian Reusch, Richard (Brandy) Oshel, Kenny Oshel, Mike Reusch; nine great grandchildren, Tabitha Gilbreth, Chelsea (Chris) Green, Holden Green, Bradley Borger Hannah Reusch, Savannah Reusch, Dalis Reusch, Taylor Reusch, Rylie Reusch; and five great-great grandchildren, Makayla Holloway, Alexis Holloway, Kingstyn Holloway, Ava Nelson, and Amaya Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Lynn Oshel in 1997.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in her name to the Catholic Community Hospice and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
