Alice Walton

Alice Ladene Walton (Lee), 58, of Parkville, MO, passed away on June 23rd, 2017.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday June 27th, 2017 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the VFW Post 852 located at 1801 Massachusetts St., Lawrence Kansas.

Alice was born in Kansas City on March 9th 1959. She graduated from Lawrence High School and continued on to run her own business and most recently worked for Peterbuilt. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and with her friends and family.

Alice is survived by her husband Dan Walton, Parkville; brother Stephen Lee and family, Eudora; Sister Cindy Saler and family, Topeka; sister Charlene Gibbens and family, Bonner Spring. She has three children; Jason and his partner Ondrej, Prague; Charles and his wife Jessica, Lawrence; Kevin and his girlfriend Morgann, Topeka. She is also survived by three stepchildren; Janelle and husband Danny, Lisa and her boyfriend Tim, Joe and his wife Susan, and other family and friends. She was the proud grandmother of Everly, Gentry, Justin, Andrew, Emilea, and Carson.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents Delbert and Bonnie McCall and her father John Lee.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice or to a scholarship fund that the family is establishing in Alice’s name for LHS graduating seniors. The family of Alice Ladene Walton wishes to thank those for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

    Sorry to here of your loving loss today. I had worked with Alice at TARGET in Lawrence. We were friends and I stayed with her for a little bit when I was going through a hard time. May time heal all your hurt and grief on the up coming days. Amen

    So sorry for your loss of Alice. She had watched my daughter in her day care when she was 4. Got to know Alice from spending time with her along with friends who love her as well. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
