Julia Ann DeMott

Graveside service for Julia Ann DeMott, 77, Lawrence, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Eudora Cemetery in Eudora, Kansas. Julia passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Baldwin City, Kansas.

Julia was born on July 22,1943 in Pensacola, Florida the daughter of Jehoiada and Ruth M. (Dalrymple) Jeffery.

She was a member of Clearfield Church.

She worked in Human Resources for Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in De Soto, KS.

She married Ronald Ray DeMott on March 16, 1973. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2021.

Survivors include her sister, Mary A. Neis, Eudora; niece, Debbie (Bruce) Howard, Eudora; nephew, Jeff Neis (Carey Creason), Lawrence; great-nieces and nephews, Elisha Howard, Cody (Ashley) Howard, Hunter Neis; great-great niece, Riley Howard.

There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. prior to graveside service on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora.

Memorial contributions may be made in Julia’s name to Elara Hospice and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13th Street Lawrence, KS 66044.

    My love, thoughts and prayers go out to Julia’s family.

    Julia was a sweet, kind and beautiful person, inside and out.
    As much as we will miss her, I know Cowboy is happy to have her back by his side.

    Heaven gained a true angel with Julia’s passing. My sympathies to Julia’s family. Her sweet smile and laugh will be missed but may wonderful memories help her live on in your hearts. Cowboy and her are together again.
